Prayer for Protection

We are reminded in God’s Word not to be afraid or fearful. The world can be a scary place, but you don’t have to walk in fear no matter what is going on around you or in the world. God is with you—He will never leave you or forsake you. He doesn’t want you living in anxiety or fear. He wants you to walk in peace and be at peace. Take the promises of God from His Word as your protection. God will honor His Word and will perform it in your life as you stand in faith believing.

Meditate on Psalm 91 each day for yourself and your loved ones.

Father, in the Name of Jesus, I thank You that You watch over Your Word to perform it. I believe your Word and know that you are protecting me/my family. Father, I because I dwell in the secret place of the Most High I shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty—whose power no foe can withstand. I will declare, “The Lord is my refuge and my fortress, my God in Him I will have confident trust.” Because then You will deliver me from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. Then You will cover me with Your feathers, and under Your wings I will find refuge and trust. Your faithfulness is my shield and a buckler. Father, You are my confidence. You keep me from stumbling, being caught in a trap, or hidden danger. Father, You give me safety. I know You will keep me in perfect peace because my mind is focused on You not what is going on around me, and I trust in You. I thank You, Lord, that I will lie down in peaceful sleep, for You sustain me and make me dwell in safety.

I shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the evil plots and destruction) that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand, but it shall not come near me. I will only be a spectator—hidden in God’s presence and care—as I witness the reward of the wicked. No plague or disease or evil shall come close to me/my family. Thank you, Father, that your angels surround me and help deliver me from danger.
