Forgiveness

Bible Verses on Forgiveness

Everyone needs forgiveness from time to time, and everyone needs to be forgiving. Let your heart be open to God’s Word as you read these verses on forgiveness. If you need to forgive someone, be quick to do it. Walk in the forgiveness and love that God has shown you. As you do, you will experience great joy and peace.

2 Chronicles 7:14 – “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Psalm 86:5 – “For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.”

Psalm 103:12 – “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed [forgiven] our transgressions [sins] from us.”

Isaiah 1:18 – “Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

Jeremiah 31:34 – “…for I will forgive their iniquity [sin], and I will remember their sin no more.”

Micah 7:18 – “Who is a God like unto Thee, that pardons iniquity [forgives sins…He retains not his anger forever, because He delights in mercy.

Matthew 6:12 – “And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.”

Matthew 6:14-15 – “For if you forgive men their trespasses [sins], your Heavenly Father will also forgive you; But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses [sins], neither will your Father forgive you.”

Mark 11:25-26 – “And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have ought [unforgiveness] against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive your trespasses [sins]. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses [sins].”

Luke 23:34 – “Then Jesus said, Father forgive them; for they know not what they do.”

2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all thins are become new.”

Ephesians 1:7 – “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.”

Colossians 1:13-14 – “[The Father] hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into he kingdom of his dear Son; in whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins.”

Hebrews 10:17 – “And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.”

1 John 1:9 – “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
