Bible Verses on Joy

Joy is more than happiness. Joy is a spiritual force that changes circumstances. Drawing on the joy of the Lord when you’re down will lift you beyond the circumstances you face. If you need some joy today, let these scriptures minister to you—they are food for your spirit. Get joyful – filled up with joy.

Jeremiah 8:10 – “…for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Psalm 5:11 – “But let all those that put their trust in You rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them: let them also that love Your name be joyful in You.”

Psalm 16:11 – “Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence if fullness of joy; at thy right hand are pleasures for evermore.”

Psalm 30:5 – “…weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”

Psalm 32:11 – “Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, you righteous; and shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart.”

Psalm 35:27 – “Let them shout for joy, and be glad….”
