Bible Verses on Peace

It is not a state of mind, it is a position of spiritual rest for believers. Throughout the Bible God promises peace to those who love Him and follow His Word. In the world, there is no peace. There is only anxiety, worry, fear, and dread of war. However, when you know the Prince of Peace, you have peace that passes human understanding that will guard your heart and mind even in the midst of turmoil. Psalm 29:11 – “The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace.”

Psalm 34:14 – “Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.”

Psalm 32:17 – “I will listen to what God the LORD will say; he promises peace to his people, his saints– but let them not return to folly.”

Psalm 119:165 – “Great peace have they who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.”

Isaiah 9:6 – “ For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Isaiah 26:3 – “You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.”

John 14:27 – “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

John 16:33 –“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

1 Corinthians 14:33 – “For God is not a God of disorder but of peace.”

2 Thessalonians 3:16 – “Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.”

Romans 15:13 – “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
