Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving – I’m sure your parents raised you to say “thank you” when someone gave you something, so thanksgiving shouldn’t be foreign to you. Many times in our busy world of work, family and play, it’s easy to get away from saying thank you and being thankful. Let these verses taken you into a time of thanksgiving. Let the Lord know how much you appreciate what He has done for you. Don’t ever forget to be thankful for everything.

1 Chronicles 16:34 – “O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.”

Psalms 7:17 – “I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.”

Psalm 69:30 – “I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

Psalm 95:2-3 – “let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.”

Psalm 100:4 – “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.”

Psalm 106:1 – “Praise ye the Lord, O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good: for His mercy endures forever.”

Psalm 107:22 – “And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare His works with rejoicing.”

Psalm 116:17 – “I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the Lord.”

1 Corinthians 1:4 – “I thank my God always on your behalf…”

2 Corinthians 9:11 – “Being enriched in everything to all bountifulness, which causes through us thanksgiving to God.”

Ephesians 1:15-16 – “Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saint, cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers.”

Philippians 4:6 – “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by  prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

Colossians 2:7 – “Rooted and built up in Him, and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.”

Colossians 3:17 – “And whatsoever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”

1 Thessalonians 5:18 – “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

1 Timothy 4:4 – “…and nothing be refused, if it is received with thanksgiving.”
