“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace
in believing, that you may abound in hope
through the power of the Holy Ghost.”
The other week we stopped to get a cup of coffee and I noticed that the sleeve and the disposable cup had an interesting phrase printed. It said “Brimming with Joy.” I like that statement because it’s time, right now, that you and I should be brimming with joy. Isn’t that what the verse in Romans 15 is saying?
When you know God, when you have Jesus living inside of you, that’s cause to brim and overflow with joy. It’s not just some religious thing. It’s not religion at all. It’s an abundant relationship with the God of creation. It’s knowing that He has your back; that He’s there for you every single minute of every single day. He doesn’t leave you, and He certainly doesn’t go off and forsake you.
No, it is the God of hope filling you with ALL joy…and peace…so you can increase, abound, overflow and live the abundant life that He gives. It’s God’s desire for you to abound. He wants you to be brimming over with joy, not just happiness that is solely dependent on circumstances. Joy goes beyond circumstances. It is a spiritual force and carries you through in supernatural power through any difficulty, any situation and all circumstances.
If you’re not abounding with joy, then ask for the God of hope to fill you with all joy so you can abound this year. Your life will never be the same.
