God of NOW – Part 3

As we continue in our study of the God of nowtoday—we want to look at some other “now” verses. Again, now is today; it is not tomorrow; yet tomorrow now will also be now.

Let’s start with some good news. Romans 8:1 tells us that “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus…” The moment you received Jesus into your heart, you were no longer under the condemnation of the Law. You’re not condemned to life without God for eternity. There is hope and life eternal in Jesus Christ. Therefore, today and all your todays, there is no condemnation because you’ve been translated from darkness into light, from a life of sin and hopelessness into a life full of joy, peace, love, and hope for all eternity. It doesn’t take place at a future time. It is now. It is today and every day.

Galatians 2:20 also gives us another view of God’s love and abiding presence in our lives now. “I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I live now in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

Paul’s bold statement says that even though he lives, he was crucified with Christ. His old life is dead and passed; his new life is lived in faith because of his faith in Jesus Christ. It is now, and every day it continues as now.

If that isn’t enough, let’s look at one other verse that should fill you with excitement today—now. 2 Corinthians 3:17 says Now thanks be unto God who always causes us to triumph in Christ….” Here’s a great promise. When you know the Lord, you are able to triumph every day. The “now” in this verse is a transitional word but still contains the meaning of present time. God will always cause you to have victory, to triumph each day; and each day it’s now.

I trust you’re seeing the message of the God of now. He isn’t afar off or waiting until some predetermined time to bless you. He is blessing you now. I encourage you to meditate on these verses today and experience of God of now today!
