In Christ

Boston sunset-wide

The other day we looked at what it means to be IN CHRIST. I want to share some other scriptures with you to help cement God’s grace and love in your heart. If you don’t know what Jesus has already given you, you’ll miss some wonderful things. I’ll highlight a few scriptures that talk about being in Christ. There are many more scriptures than these few, so I suggest you do some study on your own to learn more about your ‘benefits’ package.

Romans 3:24 –“Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”

You no longer need to feel condemned because of your past sin, or even present sin. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and His sacrifice for you took care of your sin(s) once and for all. Rejoice because of this promise in Romans 8:1 – “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.”

God never loses you. Nothing in this life can separate you from the immense love God has just for you. You never have to feel you’ll drop from God’s radar. You’re in His beloved Son and He sees you through Jesus: righteous, loved, and highly favored. Romans 8:39 – “I am persuaded that neither death or life….Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus.”

You no longer need to feel that things in this world are hopeless or that you are without hope. You not only have hope, which is the anchor of your soul, but when faith connects with hope, you see the manifestation of God’s blessings at work in your life. You will only lose your hope when your eyes stay on the situations/circumstances and not on what God has promised you. You have (right now, tomorrow, and every day after that) HOPE. 1 Corinthians 15:9 says “we have hope in Christ.”

You have the ability and power to always be successful, triumphant, victorious—an overcomer—in any situation because of Jesus that lives BIG in you. 2 Corinthians 2:14 says “Now thanks be unto God, which always causes us to triumph in Christ.”

You no longer need to be held back by your past. When you make Jesus the Lord and Savior of your life, you’re changed, transformed. You are a new person. You have a new mindset—a renewed mind according to God’s Word. Corinthians 5:17 – Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

The New Year is bright with promise, full of anticipation and hope, ready to burst forth with God’s blessings because of His great love for you. Exciting things are ahead.
