Being In Christ – Part 4

sky colors pic-wide

We’ve learned so far that our new position in Christ has nothing to do with our earning it: it is a gift of God’s love and grace through the finished work of Jesus Christ. Through His grace, He has supplied everything that you need here on this earth. His blessings are inexhaustible and available any time you have need of them. We also saw that the key to operating in these blessings is to appropriate them, receive them by faith.

The Apostle Paul told Timothy to be “strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.” God’s grace enables you to be strong. When you rely on God’s strength, you’re stronger. God backs up His Word and as you stand in faith on His Word, that Word becomes your strength. His grace is made strong in you.

Being in Christ enables you to be strong in your calling. You have a calling when you’re part of God’s family. You’ve first of all been called to be reconciler – bringing the message of God’s reconciliation to man through Jesus Christ. There is no greater message you can share with those you meet than to tell them that Jesus loves them.

Sharing God’s love with your world is simply being a testimony of God’s love and power at work in your life. How you respond in adverse situations will speak volumes to others. How you exemplify peace in the midst of adversity will speak volumes of God’s presence in your life. No matter what you do, do it heartily as unto the Lord, knowing that His love, grace, and power work through you because you are in Christ.

You are in Christ, a believer who is not ashamed of the Gospel because you know it is the power of God at work in your life; and through it you have been reconciled to God as one of His dear children, highly favored and highly loved.

Don’t ever doubt your position as a child of God. Don’t ever doubt God’s provisions for you. He is forever faithful because you’re His child. Begin to walk in the provisions of your position in Christ. Begin to see God’s Word at work in your life. Take your stand today as a beloved child of God, strong in Christ.
