Seeing With Faith Eyes

IMG_3676-wideHave you ever thought that your faith has eyes and it sees? At first glance you think, no, my faith believes. That’s true, but there’s something more involved. God challenged Abram to look and see how numerous his descendants would be and that was before he had any children.

“Then He brought him [Abram] outside and saith,
“Look now toward heaven, and count the stars
if
you are able to number them.” And He said to him,

“So shall your descendants be.”
Genesis 15:5

Had Abram not believed God, then his faith could not have seen what God promised him. Every time Abram stepped outside at night, he saw the stars and remembered God’s promise. The night scene never changed with fewer stars. I imagine that he saw more stars each night. His faith picture of what God promised was growing stronger in his heart and in his mind, and he believed God.

What faith pictures do you see from God’s Word? Dig into the Word of God and see what God says about you and your particular situation. When you begin to see God’s Word and promises with the eyes of faith, you will see your situation and your life differently. Let these faith pictures not depart from your eyes, no matter what else you observe or what else transpires. Hold fast to God’s Word because He backs it up and performs what He promises. So keep your faith eyes on His Word and it won’t be long until you’re experiencing what you saw and took hold of by faith.
