Is God Mad at You?

angry face pic-wide“But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith
He loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us
together with Christ, And has raised us up together, and made us
sit together in heavenly in Christ Jesus
…for by grace are you saved through faith.”

Ephesians 2:4-8

Read that portion of scripture over again carefully. Does it mention anything about God being angry at you? Does it state that God is mad at you? Is God withholding His love or mercy or salvation from you? No, it doesn’t say anything like that, does it? In fact, Andrew Wommack says God’s not angry at us. He’s not even in a bad mood.

Now that is just profound; in fact, it’s the truth of God’s Word, the truth of God’s character. It is solely by God’s grace that you are saved through faith. That means by simply believing God provided a way for you to have a real, genuine relationship with Him through Jesus forever—that’s God’s unconditional grace and love at work.

How could God then be mad at you or angry with you? He loves youBelievers need to get the stinkin’ thinking out of their minds that God is just waiting for them to mess up and then He’ll hit you on the head because He’s angry and mad at you. Even when we mess up, God still loves you! Wasn’t the life of Jesus’ sacrifice enough to bring you back into fellowship with Almighty God? Yes!

2 Corinthians 5:18,21 puts it this way: “that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them….for He has made Jesus to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.”

God’s not mad at you. He loves you; and when you come before Him in your humanness, He sees you through His Son, and approves of you because you’re His child, highly loved. No, God is not mad at you, and today you need to see yourself accepted in the Beloved, highly favored, deeply cherished, and forever loved. Change your mindset of how God sees you and it’ll continue to transform your life.
