The Depth of God’s Love

heart in the Bible picture-wide

The other day we looked at God’s love being deeper than the deepest ocean and the fact that His love never changes or becomes less or fades away.

The depth of God’s love is the depth of God’s character. It is who He is. We can highlight God’s character and show the expanse of His great love, but until you experience it for yourself, it may just sound too good to be true. The fact is that it IS true. God is full of love because He is love (John 3:16; 1 John 4:8). He is full of loving-kindness toward you (Psalm 86:15; Psalm 103:8). Not only that, but God is full of mercy (Psalm 86:5; Ephesians 2:4). His Grace is full, unmeasurable and readily available because He is full of grace (John 1:17; 2 Peter 1:2; James 4:6; Psalm 84:11). If that isn’t enough in His package of love for you, He is full of forgiveness (1 John 2:12; Ephesians 1:7; Colossians 2:13), and His forgiveness isn’t conditional of you doing anything to merit it; He forgives because He is Love and love doesn’t hold a grudge or think of wrong against it.

God is full of provision and blessings for you (Psalm 84:11; Philippians 4:19’ 2 Peter 1:3).  He is anxious to advance you, to fill your barns to overflowing just because He loves you so much. God is full of healing (Exodus 15:26; 1 Peter 5 2:24). Jesus secured your healing through His shed blood at the Cross, and it’s yours for the taking by faith. God doesn’t want you sick, nor does He give you sickness or diseases because that’s totally against His character. God doesn’t deviate from WHO He is. God is full of peace (John 14:27; Philippians 4:7). He is your PEACE in the midst of any storm or difficulty you encounter. He brings peace on the scene as you receive His love.

I hope you’ll take time to look at these scriptures and meditate on them. What I’ve presented today is really just scratching the surface of God’s love and how deep and encompassing it is. I do believe there’s MORE yet, and maybe it’s time for you to delve into another dimension of your spiritual walk with Him. I encourage you to dig into the Word. Build your understanding of how great your God is, and experience Him in deeper ways while you continue to walk in His love!
