Enjoying A Faith-Participation Life

Gatlinburg 700x400

“[And I pray] that the participation in and sharing of your
faith may produce and promote full recognition and appreciation
and understanding and precise knowledge of every good [thing]
that is ours in [our identification with] Christ Jesus—and unto [His glory].”

Philemon 6  (Amplified version)

Did you know that when you believe God’s Word and stand in faith on what He has told you, your faith produces much in your life? That may sound funny, but it’s true. The little verse in Philemon, probably overlooked most of the time, carries a lot of weight for us as believers. It should be a catalyst to spur us on in our walk of faith. It should catapult us in bringing our faith to the forefront.

Read the verse over again. Paul told Philemon that by participating in and sharing his faith, it would promote—encourage others and himself—to recognize, appreciate, AND understand the knowledge of everything good that is ours through our identification with Christ Jesus. When you’re a believer, you’re a joint heir with Jesus. That means everything that He is, so are you in this world. But you won’t walk in that knowledge unless you participate.

Participating in faith is actively standing on God’s Word, believing it above everything else, and exercising trust that what God said is true, and what He promises to do, He will fulfill.  God’s Grace is working mightily in you as you continue to participate in a faith life.

If you’re not seeing exciting things happening in your life, get to know the surpassing greatness of Jesus. Start participating in what God has given you through Christ Jesus. Don’t just observe and wonder why it doesn’t happen for you. Participate and you’ll know and reality of God’s power in your life through His Grace.
