Your Spiritual Mirror

picture of mirror-wide

Most of us don’t really think about the technology of a mirror. In fact, we usually take mirrors for granted. You get up in the morning and get ready for work or whatever else you’ve planned to do, and you look in the mirror, don’t you?

We might want the mirror to show us different results, especially when we’re trying to lose weight or gracefully aging. We’d like to see different ‘results’, but mirrors are funny about that. They reflect what they see, and that is what you see when you look into the mirror.

Did you realize you have a spiritual mirror? You do, and it’s the Word of God. Just as your natural mirror is a reflection of you, what you look like, so God’s Word should be your spiritual mirror, reflecting who you are in Him.

If your spiritual mirror doesn’t reflect much, I highly suggest you dig into God’s Word and find out who you are and can be in Christ Jesus (see scriptures below for help). Only when your life is transformed by the power of God through the blood of Jesus will you have a spiritual identity. Then as you read the Word, your spiritual mirror, you’ll start seeing God’s reflection in you.

You ARE who God says you are. You CAN DO all things through Christ who strengthens and enables you.  You ARE more than a conqueror through Christ. You ARE blessed with every spiritual blessing because of Jesus. You ARE filled with His righteousness. You ARE filled with His grace. You ARE the head and not the tail. You ARE God’s favorite!

Get your spiritual mirror out and begin to reflect more on the image it shows you because that’s who God says YOU are!
