Freely All Things

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not
with him also freely give us all things? Romans 8:32

This is the ultimate in God being for us. God did not spare His Son the shame, pain, and the violence of the Cross but surrendered Him for us. “Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” (Romans 4:25) God delivered Jesus for our trespasses and sins.

God paid the supreme price for our redemption. God so loved that He gave. God loved us so much and wanted to give us a way of escape that He sent Jesus to fulfill all justice and righteousness. He became sin that we might have life.

Paul makes the comparison then to God who would go so far to give us salvation, then why would he withhold other blessings. Through Jesus God gave us “all things.” And not only that, “freely give.” This word is from the Greek word for grace. We can’t merit grace. We can’t earn grace. We can only receive it. Notice the generosity of our God. He freely gives.”And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat.” (Genesis 2:16)

We can believe that if God would go so far as to give His Son, then we can see how far He will go to provide freely all things. What does “all things” mean? It means all. All means all. God is not holding back on us. He wants to work out His purpose for us. He is providing all things.

Don’t limit God. Don’t say, well, “all things” doesn’t really mean all things. “Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.” (1 Timothy 6:17) You get what you believe .

God wants us to enjoy our time here. For that reason, He provides all things for life and godliness. He is moving us to be like Jesus. As He is, so are we in this world. (1 John 4:17)
