How Much Faith?

IMG_0368-wide

If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say
to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted
in
the sea’, and it will obey you.”

Luke 17:6

Ever feel like you didn’t have enough faith? You may have felt that way, but your feelings led you down the wrong road…the road to feeling like you failed, that you don’t have any faith and can’t ever become a Super Christian.

It’s time we believers stop relying on our feelings so much when it comes to spiritual matters, especially spiritual growth. What do feelings have to do with it anyway?

We’ve mentioned some of these aspects before, but it bears repeating. What is the key to having enough faith and operating in faith? It’s the Word of God. But it’s not enough to intellectually know what the Word says. A lot of people know what the Bible says, but that’s as far as it goes in their lives. They have the head knowledge but do not see the power of the Word operating in their life.

When you start feeding on what God’s Word says—what God has spoken to you through His Word—you gain a BIGGER picture of who God is and what He is able to do. The more you feed on the Word, the more your focus will change from your needs to God’s provision. And, the more you focus on God’s ability to meet your needs, the easier it will be for you to believe—that’s activating your faith.

Remember, it’s not having faith in your faith; it’s believing God’s Word.

You have all the faith you need.
