1“…his delight is in the law [Word] of the Lord, and in His law [Word] he meditates day and night…3and he shall be like a tree…fruitful, not withering, but prosperous.”
Psalm 1:2-3
Do you want to abound in God’s blessings —that is, overflow, increase, and have more than enough in both your spiritual life and in the natural? The Psalmist provides the plan for not only seeing and experiencing God’s blessings, but sharing them with others.
It doesn’t matter the time of year; it doesn’t matter the economic condition around you; it doesn’t even matter where you live. The blessed man or woman takes delight, takes pleasure and fills up on the Word of the Lord, and allows God’s Word to permeate, to operate in their entire life. When you believe what the Word says and by faith stand in its truth, you will see God’s faithfulness operating in your life and His blessings manifesting in your midst.
A new year smack in the middle of winter can still produce blessings. Trees that are now bare won’t stay bare long. Frozen ground won’t remain frozen. Fruitfulness is promised. The withering of winter will pass. It won’t be late so don’t stay stuck in winter’s grip. You can expect to be prosperous in your life each and every day when you factor in the Blessing of God. There ARE blessings abounding all around you and the outlook for this new year is fantastic.
Make sure your focus is in God’s Word. You can start today. Take delight in God’s Word. The Psalmist talks about meditating on God’s Word day and night. When something comes up during your day, don’t panic and step into fear. Take a step back, pick up God’s Word, and draw life-giving words of strength and encouragement in your mind and heart. Then you can remain at rest throughout your day. God’s Word is life-sustaining for those wanting to see God’s abundance in their life.
It’s time to abound in His blessings.
