Overcoming Intended Evil

Boston in the clouds and sun-wide2

“For they intended evil against Thee: they imagined a mischievous
device, which they are not able to perform.”
Psalm 21:11

The Psalmist once again begins with praising the Lord for His protection and deliverance from those who sought to destroy his life. He has moved from warfare into victory and is rejoicing in His God.

He recounts the Lord’s goodness, His provisions, His blessings in meeting each need, and then makes this bold statement that even those who intended evil against You, Lord, are unable to bring it to pass.

That’s the truth of what Isaiah declared in Isaiah 54:17:  “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord.”

That is the same declarative truth that you can stand on and speak forth today when the enemy comes against you. What is planned to be a downfall in your life shall not prosper. Why? Because you are a child of God and your righteousness is from Him. He’s got your back. Jesus has already triumphed over sin, death, and all works of the enemy, so anything that comes against you, you are able to trample underfoot and render useless, powerless.

Rest in God’s presence and power in your life because you are seated IN heavenly places with Christ Jesus, far above the evil work of this world. You are an overcomer every day in every way.
