Romans 6:8 – Live With Him

Romans 6-8 700x400

“Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him.”
Romans 6:8

As we’ve mentioned before, Paul continues to make the point perfectly clear: we’ve died with Christ, we’ve risen with Him into newness of life, and we also have the promise of living together with Him for eternity.

Paul has continued his teaching on what Christ has done for us, and where we should be living, and now in verse 8 he emphasizes the truth by saying moreover [now]. If the preceding verses weren’t enough to convince you of the truth of what Jesus has done for you, he wants to drill the point home again by saying moreover.

Moreover since you’ve died with Christ, you have the assurance of also living with Him. This is the hope of eternal life. And the only way to receive or enjoy it is by dying to the old man and becoming a new person through the finished work of Jesus Christ for you. What man couldn’t do on his own, God did through Jesus.

Moreover, you’ve also received eternal life, not to mention forgiveness of sin. God has provided everything for you.

Your moreover can begin right now, today. Don’t wait until you get your life together because you won’t and you can’t on your own. Jesus loves and accepts you just the way you are, right where you are. Moreover, He’s planned for you to live with Him forever. What a promise. What love!
