Luke 6March 11, 2014
Luke 7March 12, 2014
“He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall
He not with Him also freely give us all things.”
Do you see God’s love in this verse? God gave up His Son, His beloved Son—for us ALL. And Paul says, because He did, He will also freely give us ALL things.
God isn’t stingy by any stretch of the meaning. He’s more than generous. Not only did He give up His Son for you and I, He’s made available to us ALL of His blessings, His goodness, His provision. That’s His Grace which abounds to you and I. FREELY GIVE is from the Greek word charizomai which refers to grace, God’s Grace and means gratuitous, to give, grant, forgive, favor.
Paul is showing the magnitude of God’s love and grace for man in this verse. Not only did God provide the sacrifice for sin through His Son, He accepted the sacrifice, and provided the promise of eternal life. But, wait: there’s MORE!
The more is freely given to those who believe and accept His gift. He wants to bless us beyond what we’ve ever known or experienced. God is generous. He is a blessing God. He is the God who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we can ask or even think. THAT’s the fullness of what He freely gives to you.
It’s time to step into the realm of the freely given.
