Colossians 2:13 – Quickened With Him

 “And you, being dead in your sins and in the  uncircumcision of your flesh,
hath He quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses.”
Colossians 2:13

Paul is sharing the wonderful truth of the real gospel of Jesus Christ: that our sins have been forgiven. And it wasn’t just the atonement for sins for a year. God has forgiven your sins, my sins yesterday, today, and forever. If He hadn’t, how could Paul stress that God has quickened us—made us alive—with Him if we weren’t restored to fellowship with the Father, having our sins blotted out.

You were dead in sins. Your heart hadn’t been transformed by God’s love and grace. But NOW you have been brought to life (quickened) and stand in the atonement of Jesus Christ for you.

You are made alive with Him. God isn’t detached here. He’s made YOU alive with His Son, restored to His fellowship and blessings because He’s forgiven your sins. So you’re not in this alone: Jesus stands with you because you’ve been made alive with Him.

It’s time to rejoice in the true gospel – God’s not mad at you but has forgiven your sins.
