Emmanuel – God With Us

IMG_4061-wide

“They shall call His name Emmanuel,
which being interpreted is, God with us.”
Matthew 1:23

At the appointed time Jesus was born. Once again God entered mans’ life, ready to restore fellowship/family that He had originally created in the Garden with Adam and Eve. God Himself was coming as a baby to be with man, to identify with man, to become one of us. God with us, in our world, in human form as Jesus, His Son.

God’s presence has not changed since Jesus was born. God came. And in His coming He opened the door for us to be included once again in His family, reunited with our God and Savior. In God’s overwhelming love, He provided a way for everyone to have this fellowship, and it would be through Jesus. Paul mentions this amazing mystery in Colossians 1:27: “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Now everyone. Gentiles would be able to know Jesus, as their Savior. Immanuel has come.

God is with us today. He is with you if you’ll invite Him into your life. He wants to live BIG within you. Galatians 2:20 shares this exciting fact to those who allow Him residency in their hearts/lives – I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me.

Jesus is more than a cuss word. He is God’s presence with you. He is life, peace, joy, salvation, health, prosperity—everything you would ever need in this world.

Allow Jesus to reveal Himself in greater ways in your life so you can personally know the God of Creation. He is God that sticks closer than a brother and takes up residency IN you. Your Immanuel has come.

And be assured of this fact that no matter what takes place in this world, Jesus will always be there, God with you:  “Behold, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world (Matthew 28:20).
