Gaining Confidence

Hilton Head Walking 700 x 400

Philippians 1:6

6Being confident of this very thing, that he which began a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Change scares a lot of people because they like things the way they are. They don’t want their boat rocked. But change is part of life. I’m sure you’ve been there. Maybe you’re there right now so you know how it is. You may be resisting a change. Gaining confidence in new endeavors and new challenges shouldn’t stop you from moving forward. You don’t have to come up with an excuse to resist a change, not even a scripture excuse like Matthew 25:41.

Don’t let fear of the unknown keep you from moving forward and seeing how you can gain confidence in the Lord. We all may need a push to get us going at times but until you make a change and begin to see results you’ll be stuck in a rut, a spiritual rut. That’s where you continue going over the same ground over and over without making progress. God is continuing to move forward and wants you to move with Him. He is well able to give you the confidence you need to succeed.

He has good things ahead for you. He wants you to dwell on His ability in you. When you only focus on what you can do by yourself, you’re pulled back into finding excuses if you can’t fulfill something. You tend to only see your inadequacies and failures but that’s not how God sees you. He sees you filled with His power operating in you through Jesus. He sees you as a overcomer not overcome.

Change your focus. Believe what Jesus has done for you and His ability in you. That will enable you to have greater confidence in Him. His grace is more than able to equip you for any and all changes in your life.

It’s time to let the great news of His marvelous grace renew and transform your thinking. It’s time to step out of the rut and let His love explode within you. It’s time to release the excuses, gain confidence in the God who loves you and has good things in store for you. Indeed, the best is yet to come!
