Grace Trumps Sin

checkmate pic 700x400 jpg

I’ve played checkers before, and I’ve learned some about chess which is more difficult. In chess you have different ‘players’, and each character (pawns, knights, bishops, rooks, queen, and kings) have the ability to move in prescribed directions. The goal is not to be trumped in checkmate, which means the game is over and you lost.

Recently the Lord popped a profound statement into my thinking. He said Grace trumps sin as in checkmate. I started thinking about that and realized that’s exactly what happens in chess. Each time you move one of your pieces, you’re trying to knock the opponent out just as God’s grace knocks out the power of sin in your life. Consider that today.

The more you rely on God’s GRACE and His power in you, the greater success you’ll have in overcoming any obstacles and walking in His favor and provision.

Colossians 4:6 says to let your life be flavored with grace (God’s unmerited love, mercy, provision and favor) in all that you do and say. That’s when you’ll be a winner every time because God’s Grace indeed trumps sin.
