You are free in Christ so why not stay that way? “In [this] freedom Christ has made us free [and completely liberated us]; stand fast then, and do not be hampered and held ensnared and submit again to a yoke of slavery [which you have once put off]” (Galatians 5:1 AMP). There are many forces out there which are trying to ensnare you again. When you become born again, you are completely liberated. But the enemy doesn’t want you to go about as a totally free person.
Sadly, much of the yoke of slavery comes from the pulpit. Religion comes with its set of rules which once again put you in bondage to law. Legalistic religion says you must behave like us and must perform your duty if you want God to bless you. What a slap in the face of God’s freedom.
Grace has more power than law. If it isn’t grace then we have fallen from grace back into the bondage of the law. It’s all about Jesus and what He has already done for us. We can’t add anything to that by works of any kind. So stand fast in the liberty.
