Assure Your Heart

You and I get into trouble when our heart isn’t established in God’s truth. It’s plain and simple. You can’t be confident of God’s goodness, love, and grace for you if haven’t centered and anchored your trust of Him in your heart. That’s why 1 John 3:19 encourages believers to know that you have persuaded your heart—which will direct your thoughts and actions—toward God.

God in His love and fullness will always come through, but it is our responsibility to operate from a heart persuaded, assured, and confident in all that Jesus has done. You can persuade your heart in anything, but any way other than trusting Jesus and His grace will only lead you to try fulfilling things in your own strength and ability, which is limited.

If you’re not sure what to persuade your heart in so you can see a greater revelation of Jesus operating in your life, dig into His Word…Romans Galatians, Ephesians, etc. As you receive His Word, you guard your heart; thereby your heart is persuaded of God’s love and grace for you through Jesus. Today is a new day to assure your heart.
