Bruised in Body or Spirit?

Not long ago I tripped and fell on my side, banging my thigh. In the natural the thought came to mind, ‘I’m going to have a bruise there’, yet I didn’t dwell on it. I got up, dusted myself off, and kept walking. A dear friend reminded me that I’ve been redeemed from the anything that comes against the finished work of Jesus, so we agreed together for the bruising to be gone and without any side effects. I slept good that night, got up the next morning and there wasn’t any sign of a bruise.

Luke 4:18 explains Jesus’ ministry as “…to set a liberty them that are bruised,”. Today you might be bruised in your body or bruised in your spirit. You might feel like you’re crushed and all the pieces of your life are scattered or broken. Take heart today. I have good news for you!

Jesus came to heal the bruises in your heart, mind, and body. He came to give you freedom and liberty-deliverance from those things that have tried to destroy you.  You no longer are held captive by those bruises and scars or crushed by those thoughts or actions from the past. You’ve been set FREE. Walk in what Jesus has given you.
