Having A Free Heart

‘As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.’ (Proverbs 23:7). You’ve heard this verse before I’m sure but what’s the big deal with it? Your life, your freedom as a believer, your joy, and so much more depend on the thinking you allow to settle and rule and reign in your heart.

Solomon wisely said you ARE as you THINK in your HEART. Think about that. The issues of life flow out of your heart. The things you think about, concentrate on and meditate on entering into your heart can persuade you to believe something that Jesus has already freed you from.

Guard your ear and eye gates. Whether it’s some bad news on TV or internet, or even what someone else has said, guard your heart and don’t let it take root in your heart. Turn your attention to what is edifying and God-glorifying as Joseph Prince says.

Don’t allow yourself to be robbed of the freedom Jesus has already given you. Don’t allow your heart to be clouded in fear or doubt or uncertainty. You’ve already been set free. Walk in the freedom of knowing you’re loved, saved, righteous, and far from fear and danger. That’s having a free heart.
