Do you know the truth? What truth am I talking about? If you do much reading, you run across many titles like “The Truth About such and such.” I read a book on, The Truth About Exercise and Nutrition. Was it the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth? No. There are plenty of experts in the field with opposite “truths.”
The truth for you is the truth as you see it. It may be partially true. It may be totally wrong but you believe it to be the truth. And, you don’t know what you don’t know.
“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32 NKJV). Jesus is the “way, the truth, and the life.” You know Jesus, you know the truth. And knowing Jesus sets you free.
Many people believe if they know the Word, they know the truth. But the truth you know about the Word may not be truth. Truth frees. If what you know about the truth puts you in bondage, then you don’t yet have revelation of the truth of God’s Word. Just because you can quote scripture doesn’t mean you know the truth revealed in that scripture. The truth will free you.
