The blessed man and woman are like a tree that brings forth fruit. “1Blessed is the man… 3And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper” (Psalm 1:1, 3).
The believer is like a tree that bears fruit. Fruit comes from the root. The life of faith is a life of fruit. It isn’t a life of trying to do good. Fruit grows from the heart within. You can’t fake fruit. We are known by our fruit (Luke 6:44). The kind of fruit comes from the kind of tree planted. An apple tree will bear apples. The believer bears fruit from the tree of Jesus. “I am the vine, you are the branches: He that abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit” (John 15:5).
What kind of fruit is that? Good fruit! Through the blessing we bear good fruit. And that crop always brings prosperity.
