Nothing Stops God’s Goodness

Psalm 52:1 caught my attention: “Why boast you yourself in mischief…the goodness of God endures continually.”  David addresses those seeking to do evil against him and asks why they are bothering to do this. Then he reminds them that their devices can’t prevail by stating that God’s goodness continually endures—it’s not going to be stopped no matter what.

God’s goodness, His hesed – His grace – can’t be less than who God is because He is FULL of grace. He is full of mercy. He is full of lovingkindness and compassion. David knows this first hand. From this position of trust, David declares nothing can stop God’s goodness, His grace, from operating in his life.

Can you add amen to that? Can you declare that nothing can stop you from receiving ALL of God’s grace and love in your life? Can you declare that of His fullness you have received (John 1:16) and therefore you walk in the overwhelming goodness and blessings of God?

Don’t let what others boast about deter you from continuing to declare God’s operative hesed—GRACE—in your life and watch your situations change!
