Some days do you feel like you’re on an uphill battle? I was at the top of Kennesaw Mountain awhile back and just noticed how steep it was to get to the top. I figured that out by hiking the trail to the top. The former Civil War site had Confederates dug in at the top and the Union army had to fight their way up the steep hill under heavy gunfire. They eventual took the mountain, but not without heavy casualties.
Do you feel like that soldier fighting his way up the mountain as you fight your circumstances?
“He will keep you strong to the end,” (1 Corinthians 1:8-9). “For the battle is the LORD’S,” (1 Samuel 17:47).
God never expects you to do battle. If there’s a battle you are facing, let Him do it. He will keep you strong through every skirmish you might face. Don’t try to take the mountain in your own strength. Speak to the mountain and let God bring it down to size.
Renew your thinking. You are spiritually in a place of rest. So just sit back and watch.
