God Will Never Let You Down

There is something about trust that is cause for rejoicing. Football fans will shout for joy when their team makes a touchdown but the rejoicing ends when their opponent makes a touchdown.

^“Let all those that put their trust in You rejoice: let them ever shout for joy” (Psalm 5:11).

Trust is an important word. I’m sure you have found out, usually the hard way, that you can’t trust everyone. We get that “I don’t trust anyone” attitude, and it carries over to our ideas about God. Well after all, you never know what God might do. Sometimes bad things happen to good people.

Our trust is not in what we experience or what other people experience, our trust is in God. He never “failed one word of all his good promise.” He said He would never leave us or forsake us. Every promise is yes and amen.

Faith is in operation in us because we trust Him. We need to move to that place where we have total trust in God. That is cause for rejoicing. He will never let us down. Where others might let you down, God never will.
