Freedom To Receive
April 25, 2015Faith Enables Freedom
April 27, 2015“Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 1:3). This is one of the great salutations which Paul uses to bless the hearing of the Word he wrote.
We live in tumultuous times. Peace seems to be slipping through our fingers. But Jesus knew that peace would be an important need for every believer.
He said that after He went to the Cross He would leave us His peace. “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you: not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27).
In this verse He even describes peace. Peace is an untroubled heart. It is a heart which doesn’t fear. A troubled heart is one agitated by problems, burdened by cares, troubled by life’s glitches, and disturbed by difficulties.
We all are subject to trouble, but we don’t have to be troubled by it. We have the peace of Jesus guarding our hearts. Don’t let or allow your heart to be troubled. Rest in the peace of Jesus.
