Continue In Your Faith

You have been reconciled to God. That is a done deal. God will never change that. You are in right relationship with God through Jesus regardless of what you do.

“But now He has reconciled you…if you continue in your faith” (Colossians 1:22-23 NIV2011).

Paul did not suggest that you could lose your relationship with God. The Apostle of grace is going to keep in line with the message of grace. Therefore we need to translate passages such as this with the filter of grace.

In Galatians 5:4, Paul says if you don’t operate in faith and try to operate under the law, you have fallen from the message of grace. We walk by faith. We live by faith. Faith is a love response to all that God has done for us through Jesus.

We get what we believe. If we continue to walk in faith, according to what God has done through the finished work of Jesus, we will walk in the promises which we receive by faith. If we don’t continue in faith, then we block the promises of God from their free operation in our lives through our unbelief. Walk in faith and see God work in your life.
