God Has Heard Your Prayer

Williamsburg capitol building

This verse in Psalms sounds like a New Testament faith verse. We aren’t sure what David was going through but whatever it was it involved heavy tears so much so his bed was wet with them. He went to God asking for mercy. At some point either He received all his answers or he knew he was going to get his requests by faith.

My requests have all been granted, my prayers are answered” (Psalm 6:9 MSG).

Whether under the Old Covenant of law or the New Covenant of grace, prayer is the communication line to the Father. In the Old Covenant you never knew what God might do. In the New Covenant we are simply to ask in faith and receive.

Therefore I say to you, What things you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them” (Mark 11:24).

Ask in faith, and believe you receive. Why ask if you don’t believe God wants to answer your prayer. You may go boldly into the throne of grace and find grace and mercy in your time of need.
