In Christ You Are Complete
May 26, 2015Jesus Is The Truth Of The Gospel
May 28, 2015I came across some helpful information the other day about planting gardens. It mentioned underplanting, which is basically showcasing all plants/flowers in a mosaic pattern that is often times repeated. I immediately recalled a flower garden we had some years back where I had actually underplanted, and the entire flower garden turned out beautiful.
How does this apply to your life? It deals with your spiritual underplanting.
What’s spiritual underplanting you ask? With our garden illustration above, of foremost importance is to have a good, deep root system for your plant—your life, your spiritual walk. That’s Colossians 2:7, “Rooted and built up in Him, established in the faith…” Plants with a deep root system that’s established will stand strong and flourish. Next, make sure your roots are nourished properly so your plants—your life–thrives and grows. That’s Ephesians 4:17, “…that you, being rooted and grounded in love.”
Make sure you plant yourself deeply in all that Jesus has finished/completed for you. Continue to nourish your life in His love and grace. Fill up on His Word. Drink in of His love. Then you’ll stand tall and strong, flourishing in Him.
