Practicing His Presence

Here is a statement we should make every morning when we get out of bed. “O LORD my God, in You I put my trust” (Psalm 7:1 NKJV).
Trust is more than a slogan on a bank. It’s personal. Do we really trust the Lord? The word trust means to “seek refuge, flee for protection, put trust in, confide, and hope in.”
It literally means “a refuge from the storm” (Isaiah 25:4). It carries the idea that you can put complete confidence in Jehovah our God.
Do you trust God for everything? If you are a parent, put your trust in God for the safety of your children. If you are a business person, put your trust in the financial prosperity of your company.
We are in a much better position to trust God than David. We have the finished work of Jesus to put our trust in. You don’t have to be trustworthy to trust someone. But God is absolutely trustworthy. “And in His name shall the Gentiles trust” (Matthew 12:21).
When the storms come into your life, say, “In God I trust.” And when it’s calm say, “In God I trust.”
