Increasing in the Living Word

Have you been meditating on the living Word that is operating in your life? I saw something more in John 6:63 related to this topic and I want to share it with you today.

Here is the New Living Translation: “The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.” It’s interesting because the KJ word for ‘gives’ is quickeneth or quickens, and when you search out its origin, it means make alive, give life, also to abide, appoint, bring, cause, perform, give, and keep. It is the God-breathed word made alive through the Spirit that brings God’s power of grace into your life, into your situation, abiding in you, performing and working in and for you.

The words of Jesus are alive and active. They are zōē life—life to the fullest extent and never-ending of God’s love and grace. Zōē life is the Gospel of Grace that Jesus purchased for you—not only eternal life but health, wholeness, peace, and provision freeing you from condemnation, guilt, and self-righteous works. Enter into more of what He has for you through the living Word increasing in you.
