Living in the Living Word

These words struck me the other day—living in the Living Word. I couldn’t get that phrase out of my mind. As I meditated on it, I had to ask myself am I living in the Living Word. Are you?

You may have multiple copies of the Bible around your house. We like to use different translations when we’re studying the Word, so we have multiple Bibles available. Each contains the living Word of God. It is God-breathed; and we see in scripture what God’s breath did when God created Adam as well as to the dry bones in Ezekiel. What was lifeless before became full of life.

God’s Word is living. It is alive. Is it alive in you?

Hebrew 4:12 affirms the life of the Word. “For the word of God is living and active…” Whether you take it off the shelf and read it, it remains living. It should be effective and powerful in your life. Don’t settle for the word of someone else. Go to the source—the living Word—and receive life-giving power that will renew your thinking and allow you to walk in everything that Jesus has for you—His words are spirit and life (John 6:63). Live in the Living Word.
