Continue In Your Faith
May 24, 2015In Christ You Are Complete
May 26, 2015Remember the mote from the other day in Psalm 21:7? We saw that it keeps intruders away and protects and defends a fortress. The mote we know is Jesus, but the fortress is also Jesus. The only requirement to take advantage of His protection and mercy is to believe Him. It’s a matter of trusting Him with all the details of your life.
There’s a corresponding New Testament verse about this establishment in your life. Paul encourages believers to continue in the faith. In Colossians 1:23 he spells it out more. “…continue in the faith, grounded and settled, and not moved away from the hope of the Gospel which you have heard…”
God’s grace and favor in your life enables you to be settled. You’re not wishy-washy about what you believe. You’ve settled in the truth of God’s Word, confident and strong in His faithfulness. You’ve grounded yourself in the word of His grace available and working in your life through what He’s already done for you. You’re not moved away from the hope of the good news of His Grace.
Simply put, that’s how you continue in faith; how it grows stronger and deeper in you. Step into more.
