Peace With God
June 6, 2015Letting God’s Peace Rule

David is thinking some of the same thoughts we think even today.
“What is man that You take thought of him, And the son of man that You care for him?” (Psalm 8:4 NASB).
God is so immense and all-encompassing, and man is but a speck on one of the millions of planets. Why is God concerned with us? Why does God even care what happens to us? Doesn’t God have more important things to do than follow the goings on of billions of people here on earth?
We operate on one thought at a time so it is hard for us to understand a God who can keep track of billions of people. We can speak with Him as if He was sitting here only with us. This whole thing was about Jesus who created the earth, man, and everything here. Then coming to earth to redeem us from the destruction we created.
“According as He [God] has chosen us in Him [Jesus] before the foundation of the world” (Ephesians 1:4). We were in God’s thoughts before the world was even created. It’s also interesting that Jesus called Himself “the son of man”. Jesus said, “…for You [Father] loved me before the foundation of the world” (John 17:24). God is love. No wonder He takes thought of us.
