I Will Tell of His Marvelous Works

^“1I will praise You, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. ²I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High” (Psalm 9:1-2 NKJV)

I love passages like this. I remember back in the 70’s when we did a lot of scripture singing. Passages like this just sing of praise to God. David uses the word Elyon here for Most High. He is omnipotent supreme God of whom there is no equal.

Notice all the “I will’s” in this passage. I will praise, I will tell, I will be glad, I will rejoice, and I will sing. There more you know God the more you want to proclaim “I will.” It comes spontaneously from a heart of love abounding in praise. The more you know the name of God Most High the more you are praising Jesus for all that He did for you on the Cross.

Then you can’t hold it in any longer and you want to tell others of His marvelous works. We praise you Jehovah LORD. We praise you Jesus.
