I Will Walk At Liberty

Are you walking in the liberty Jesus provided?

^“And I will walk at liberty: for I seek your precepts” (Psalm 119:45). The word precept is a general term for the responsibilities that God places on His people. For us new covenant believers it does not mean commandments but God’s ways to live a blessed life. I like the way The Message Bible puts it.

^“And I’ll stride freely through wide open spaces as I look for your truth and your wisdom” (Psalm 119:45 MSG). As we learn the wisdom of the Word we walk more freely. We aren’t tied to the bondage of sin and law. We are free in Christ. The more we know about what Jesus did on the Cross for us the freer we walk.

As we learn who we are in Christ, we can begin to broaden our circle of influence. We walk in the open places where we can bless others. We are free to love and care and help others. The thought of doing this can sometimes be troubling, but we have the grace to step out in any situation and be the hand of God reaching out to others.
