Water Fountains at Hilton Head Island
It’s summer time and you get thirsty especially the longer you’re outside, right? That’s when you need to drink lots of liquid to cool your body temperature and stay hydrated. How about for your spiritual life? Are you getting enough of the water of the Word?
Isaiah 55:1 starts with a call to those who are thirsty to come and find nourishment, strength, health; and to drink in from the water God provides, His Word. Verse 11 describes His Word that is available: “So shall my Word be that goes forth out of my mouth; it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing where I sent it.”
Remember this chapter begins with an invitation for the thirsty to come to Him for life-giving water that will completely satisfy. How do you do that today? Take time meditating on His Word, letting the truth of His love and grace bring nourishment to your entire being. His Word is full of life, creating and accomplishing more as you partake. You’ll be renewed and refreshed—revitalized. Need some more water now? Drink in of His Word of Grace and watch what happens.
