The Perfect Law of Liberty

We are no longer under the law, but under the rule of grace. Yet we are under some laws. Look at James 1:25.

^“But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does” (James 1:25 NKJV).

I really like The Message Bible here. It categorically catches the real meaning of what James is saying. ^“But whoever catches a glimpse of the revealed counsel of God—the free life!—even out of the corner of his eye, and sticks with it, is no distracted scatterbrain but a man or woman of action. That person will find delight and affirmation in the action” (James 1:25 MSG).

Paul said it this way. ^“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and of death” (Romans 8:2 Darby).

And finally Jesus said this about trying to find life in the law. “Ye search the scriptures, for ye think that in them ye have life eternal, and they it is which bear witness concerning me” (John 5:39 Darby). In Jesus is liberty and freedom. Stick to freedom.
