Joy is such a powerful force in your life. It’s like the force of a mighty river like Niagara Falls with thousands of tons of water pouring over the falls each minute of every day. It’s breathtaking to see. The best way I can describe joy is to say it’s even more powerful than Niagara Falls. Joy isn’t something you can manufacture on your own. It comes from within through the power of God’s Holy Spirit. It is God’s power resonating in such force it pulls you closer to Him and fills you with such overwhelming love and peace. That’s the strength of His joy.
And His joy is made strong in us when we avail ourselves of it. If we try to handle things on our own, we only end up frustrated, tired, and empty. When we release our needs to Jesus and draw on His JOY, we’re enabled to stand strong no matter what comes at us or against us—even through the everyday events we experience.
No matter what you face today, the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 1:8). Draw on it. Rest in it. His joy is perfect, complete, nothing lacking, and it’s yours unhindered.
