Everyone is established in something. What are you established in? It can be in your own self-confidence and in your works, or you can be grounded in the unlimited gift of righteousness.
Isaiah 54:14 encourages you with this truth as a child of God: “In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you.” ESV
Note that this verse doesn’t say you are established in a righteousness of your own doing. You’re established [prepared, grounded, and settled] because of Jesus and His righteousness. It has nothing to do with your efforts to do good get good or anything like that.
If you’re a child of God, you’ve been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21). That’s who you are. The more you renew your thinking to this truth, the greater your establishment in it will be.
You’re a new person so don’t consider the past but continue to renew your thinking in God’s righteousness in you. Hold onto it. Don’t let go but continue receiving more of the fullness of His righteousness in you each day.
