The other morning the Lord popped two words into my mind: Promise and Provision. I meditated on how these words related to my position in Christ and a picture emerged. Everything you and I need is a promise of His Word and His faithfulness. His promise: “…for soon my salvation will come and my righteousness be revealed” (Isaiah 56:1, ESV); and “… for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness,” (Isaiah 61:10, ESV).
His provision was fulfilled through Jesus and is available to everyone. “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ…” (2 Corinthians 1:20, NIV).
The Promise becomes the Provision when you believe and receive it by faith. “And because of Him you are IN Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption.” (1 Corinthians 1:30, ESV)
There is no problem or need too difficult for the Lord. He’s already provided the answer and provision. What is your need today? His promises are true and He is faithful. Take hold of His promise and His provision will be there.
