Just a Thought for August 22
August 22, 2015Just a Thought for August 23
August 23, 2015Have you heard some good news and it just made you want to jump up and down or dance around? It’s hard to acknowledge good news quietly. Good news makes you want to dance and shout. What was no longer is!
I’m sure that’s how David felt when he declared: “You have turned for me my mourning into dancing, you have put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness.” (Psalm 30:11)
God has taken off your sackcloth—whatever has caused you to grieve and mourn. Nothing that has affected you can affect you any longer because He has removed it. It matters not what has caused you grief or loss. What does matter is that you’ve been set free from everything in your past, every hurt, every burden, every wrong action—ALL of it.
It doesn’t have to be a life-shattering event that gets your feet to dancing today. Receive His garment of gladness and joy because you’re approved, loved, and empowered to walk in greater blessings. The sackcloth has been taken away, and there’s a lot of rejoicing and dancing to be done!
